Liviu Lalescu – life and passions

My favorite movies: “Zorba The Greek”, “Forrest Gump”, “American Beauty” (the best – in my oppinion), “Goodfellas” (my third best), “Inner Circle”, “Underground” (this is my second best), “Crna macka, beli makor (Black Cat White Cat)”, “Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain”, “The Night of the Iguana”, “Arizona Dream” (this is a favourite of mine, it might be the best in my list - it is difficult to compare movies), “La vita e bella (Life Is Beautiful)”, “Psycho”, “Le Charme discret de la bourgeoisie (The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie)”, “A Streetcar Named Desire”, “A Clockwork Orange”. I think “Silence of the Lambs” sucks and I hate “Titanic” and “Lord of the Rings”.

My favorite music: classics (Bach – Brandenburg Concerts, Mozart, Strauss, Vivaldi, Haydn), Beatles, Guns N'Roses (Albums, best first: “Use Your Illusion” and “Appetite for Destruction”), Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Queen, Metallica (Albums, best first: “Kill 'Em All”, “Ride the Lightning”), Megadeth (Albums, best first: “Rust in Peace”, “Peace Sells”). I also like and appreciate much Sepultura ( “Schizophrenia” and “Beneath the Remains”). I also like, Flotsam and Jetsam (first 2 albums), Slayer (first four albums), Anthrax (first three albums), Suicidal Tendencies (“How Will I...”), Yngwie Malmsteen, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, some pieces of Haggard. From Romanian singers, I like Cargo (the first 3 albums), Compact, Phoenix (“Cantafabule” and “Mugur de fluier”).

My favorite books/writers/newspapers: Ioan Luca Caragiale (Romanian writer), Edgar Allan Poe, Academia Catavencu (Romanian Newspaper), Isaac Asimov, Dune from Frank Herbert.

Favorite sports: bodybuilding, cycling, swimming, badminton.

Health: I am a FAP survivor. This is a terrible disease, with a very simple operative cure nowadays. My father had this disease and was treated. He neglected treatment 20 years after his operation and died age 50. I consider nowadays medicine a miracle and I live a happy life thanks to the scientific progress.
